Every time things become monotonous for me, I like to switch things up and try something new. I am a huge street photography fan. I believe it’s possibly the purest and highest form of photography when done well. Anyone who tried it, knows it’s very awkward to photograph…

Last week, spend 8 day in a row, 10 hours a day, redesigning my portfolio website. Something funny happened in the last day or two. I started to question my branding and profession. Now, I am remaking the whole website and I don’t intend on making any changes. Why? Keep reading…

Digital underwater photography is difficult as it is. Even with a direct feedback from the preview monitor, achieving consistent results if a challenge. Lighting, composition, communication are the challenges I’m currently most focused on. I only tried a few light setups before…
Read MoreMorning or evening blogging?
I made the personal pact to try and write on a daily basis. Now the first day is done and gone, actually have to think about what and how. This morning, the first thought that I had was if I should write as a morning routine or as an evening routine. Let me try and set…
Read MoreWebsite Update
Aside from the occasional portfolio update, I haven’t touched the website in over 2 years and a half, seeing the last blog entry was July 12, 1017. Well, I’m trying again. I see it more as a daily journal. But don’t quote me on that. I will try to document through written form, my daily occupations. So, new website! Let’s check it out. …

So far, I've done 2 underwater photoshoots, excluding this weeks episode. Although I am certainly no expert, I'm starting to feel a bit more confident. Might as well and jump head first and make an episode about the whole process. Since it's a lot more difficult to yield consistent results, given the challenges in communication and mobility underwate

Days are getting shorter. Weather is getting colder. This week I am lazy. So I thought a simple shoot, in front of my balcony window would be a nice idea. A few hours before the arrival of the subject, I metered the light...

In my first video, I shot a roll of Fuji 400H. But felt I didn't do it justice. I developed the roll myself. It was my first time trying and it didn't turn out as good as I thought. I also felt my method was too inconsistent. Many frames were...

This week I pushed Delta 400 film to 1600. And I used Rodinal again. Except, instead of semi stand development, I diluted it at 1 + 16. Inversion for the first minute. 3 rotation using the little stick from the Patterson tank every minute. Developed for 20 minutes. Followed by stop bath and fixer as usual.

Ever since I learned about it, it became my dream camera. The Hasselblad X-pan. This 35mm rangefinder shoots panoramic photographs by stitching two(?) frames together. The results are frame ratio reminiscent of cinema. Being a huge filmmaking enthusiast, this anamorphic...

For Halloween I thought it would be a great idea to go shoot some night street photography. People would have less inhibitions as they would most likely be inebriated. Their costumes and masks would make them less self conscious. Thus, they would happily...

I've had these random black and white rolls of film in my fridge for a little while. I have no idea when I shot them and I don't know if I pushed the ASA. Couple weeks back I remembered reading about stand development a few years back. In a nutshell, you use a highly diluted development formula. You don't make any...
